Relational Faceted Browser
Pivot Browser, a tool to browse collections of data extending traditional “Faceted Browsing” to leverage for the first time also the knowledge about the interconnection between the records.
We call this paradigm “relational faceted browsing”
Watch our screencast below for an example of application involving a 2GB dataset of technical articles processed via ExpertSystem Cogito to extract entities which were then linked with Freebase and Crunchbase data.
Entities involved: Technical Articles --> Companies --> Investments --> Investors.
How valuable are the connections in your data?
Traditional search interfaces simply ignore the relationships in the data. What's more, PivotBrowser extends the search from "entities" to "Set of entities" which share common characteristics also with respect to their connections.
How does it work?
The PivotBrowser uses a SindiceTech patent pending methodology. At the heart, Big Relational data processing, powered by Hadoop and the SindiceTech CloudSpace platform, is used to preprocess data in a way that can be effectively searched and faceted by the SindiceTech Siren engine.
Siren and Cloudspace are integrated together in the PivotBrowser distribution, so no specific knowledge about them is required when deploying or using PivotBrowser.
